Coming off of a highly successful meet at Baylor, the Abilene Christian track and field team will head to another meet hosted by a Big 12 university, the Corky Crofoot Shootout hosted by Texas Tech on Thursday and Friday.

With the WAC championship meet just two weeks away, this meet will serve as a tune-up for the Wildcats and will focus on the sprints, jumps, and throws. While there will be a few distance runners competing, the majority of distance runners will train through this meet in anticipation of the conference meet. The Wildcats will also be looking to improve upon their season-best time in the women's 4x100 relay.

The Corky Crofoot opens on Thursday, April 30 will begin at 11 a.m. at the Texas Tech Throws Field with both the javelin and hammer throw. The bulk of the events will commence with the running events at 2:30 p.m. in the Terry and Linda Fuller Track and Field Complex, and field events beginning at 3 p.m. (Note: The discus will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the TTU Throws Field).
