Wildcats Compete in Final Tuneup Before WAC Championship

LUBBOCK, Texas - The ACU track and field team competed at the Texas Tech-hosted Corky/Crofoot Shootout on Thursday and Friday.

As the last meet prior to the 2026 WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Arlington, the Wildcats decided to focus mainly on the sprints, jumps, and throws.

The ACU men's 4x400 relay team set a new season-best time by 0.38 seconds. The women's 4x100 team finished just 0.22 seconds off of its top mark in 2026.

Eleven Wildcat athletes finished in the top 5 of their respective events at the meet.
