Before ACU
Competing for Lebanon Trail HS in the Frisco ISD, Lauren really burst on the scene as a junior as she won the District 10-5A title in both the 100 and 200, before narrowly missing a trip to state as she finished 3 rd in the Region II-5A 200, as well as placing 6 th in the 100. She started her senior year, by placing 5 th at the FasTrak HS Indoor Challenge in the 60 with her time of 7.63 stands as her personal best at that distance and was the #53 best time in the U.S. for a high school athlete. Later in the year, competing in the District 11-5A meet, she placed 3 rd in both the 100 and 200, before placing 4 th in the Region II-5A 200. Her ran her personal best times as a senior – 11.72 in the 100 (#52 in Texas) and a 23.86 in the 200, a time that placed her #28 in Texas and #95 in the U.S. among high school athletes. In the summer following her senior campaign, she competed for her club team, MABA Elite Track Club, on the 4x100 relay team that placed 8 th at the AAU Junior Olympics held at George Turner Stadium in Humble, TX.
