Abilene Christian has experienced vast improvements to each of its athletics facilities since 2015. That year saw the successful move of the soccer and track and field programs into the new Elmer Gray Stadium.

Two years later, football moved back onto campus for the first time in 50 years following the completion of Wildcat Stadium, and in more recent years, new clubhouses have popped up for both tennis (2018) and golf (2020). The tennis project coincided with an exterior renovation to the Teague Special Events Center, which has been the administrative home of ACU Athletics since 1997.

Softball had its new indoor hitting cages completed in time for the 2019 season. Several months later, Powell Fitness Center underwent a successful second renovation.

Locker rooms have been remodeled and redecorated for men's and women's basketball and volleyball, and to start the 2019-20 basketball season, a dynamic new video board was installed above center court at Moody Coliseum. ACU's beach volleyball team was presented with three sand courts outside the Teague Events Center in early 2020.

Major renovations to Moody Coliseum began in Fall 2020 and were completed by August 2022. For the 2020-21 season, basketball games and volleyball matches took place in the Teague Center, where a wood floor and bleachers were installed.
