Biography

2024-2025
Indoors – medical redshirt
Outdoors – after redshirting the indoor season, Hana came back with a strong outdoor season where she competed in 8 meets. She opened the year by finishing 5 th in the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational 100 hurdles, followed by a 6 th place in the TTU Masked Rider 100H. At the WAC meet, she made the finals in the 100H where she finished in 8 th place (her first All-Conference performance), after running a personal best of 13.80 in the prelims.

2023-2024
Indoors – competed in 4 meets indoors, starting her collegiate career by placing 3rd on the 60H at the JD Martin Invitational in Norman, OK. Later, she placed 12th in the 60H at the Charlie Thomas Invite and finished her first indoor season placing 12th in the WAC Championship 60H with a personal best time of 8.87.
Outdoors – competed in 7 meets, opening her season with a 5th place finish in the 100H at the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational. Later in the regular season, she placed 4th in the 100H at the Joe Gillespie Invitational in Stephenville and 10th in the 100H at the Masked Rider Open in Lubbock. Hana completed the season by placing 18th in the 100H at the WAC Championship.

Before ACU
Competing for Grand Oaks HS in the Conroe ISD, Hana won the District 13-6A 100H with a school record time of 13.95. That time gave her the #60 best time for high schoolers in the U.S. After the HS season, she finished 20th at the Nike Outdoor HS Nationals in the 100H. Between her junior and senior year in HS, Hana finished 15th in the USATF National Junior Olympics in the 17-18 year old 100H. As a HS junior, she placed 6th in the Region II-6A 100H, after winning the District 13-6A title in the same event.

Personal
Hana graduated Cum Laude from Grand Oaks HS in 2023, where she was also an AP Scholar. Her parents are Kayci and Calvin Banks, Kayci played soccer at Texas Wesleyan and Calvin played football at ACU. Hana is an Early Childhood Education major, as well as a John C Stevens Award winner.

Why did you choose ACU? I chose ACU because how beautiful the school was, the amazing education program, and the people on the track team.

What is your favorite thing about ACU? My favorite thing about ACU is the Teacher Education program - it has the most amazing professors, and all the other Ed majors are so genuine.
