Biography
Before ACU
Anna enjoyed a decorated career at Sioux Falls Christian School in Sioux Falls, SD. Her senior year saw her win the SD 1A 400, place 4 th in the 800, and anchor the winning 4x400 and Sprint Medley Relay for Sioux Falls Christian. During her junior year, she placed 2 nd in the 400 (in a personal best time of 57.12), 3 rd in the 800, and anchored the winning 4x400 relay. That same year, she placed 2 nd in the Midwest Night of Stars 800 in a personal best time of 2:13.61 and she attended the Nike Outdoor Nationals where her relay placed 3 rd in the SMR and 6 th in the 4x200 in the Championship Division. In both her freshman and sophomore years, she placed 2 nd in the SD 1A 400 and 800, while anchoring the winning 4x400 relay as a sophomore and the winning 4x800 relay as a freshman. Collectively, she won 16 medals at the SD 1A state meet. She left HS as a member of the school record relays in the 4x400, 4x800, SMR, and Distance Medley Relay.
Personal
Anna is a 2025 graduate of Sioux Falls Christian School in Sioux Falls, SD. In HS, she was a National Honors Society; Student Council Vice President; and graduated with high honors and Joha 4.0 GPA. Her parents are Justin and Sarah Vyn, she has 3 brothers – John, Jay, and Jett – as well as 2 sisters – Elsie and Imree. Her father played hockey at Dordt University in Sioux Center, IA. She is a Finance major.
Why did you choose ACU? I chose ACU because I fell in love with the Christ-centered environment that was so evident all around campus. I felt the Holy Spirit’s peace when I visited and felt confident that the Lord was calling me to trust Him and choose ACU.
What is your favorite thing about ACU? I love how many intentional opportunities there are throughout campus to grow in my faith, to grow professionally, and to grow as a well-rounded individual.
