2024-2025
Indoors – competed in 2 indoor meets without a mark.
Outdoors – competed in 4 meets, with a best of a 6 th place finish in the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational high jump.
Before ACU
Kennadi produced a notable HS career in both volleyball and track and field. In volleyball, playing for the powerhouse Amarillo HS Sandies, she was VB District 3-5A First Team All-District, Academic All-District, American Volleyball Coaches “Best and Brightest” First team in 2023, Texas Girls Coaches Association VB Academic All- State in 2023, and the Texas HS Coaches Association 1st Team VB Academic All-State in 2023. On the track, Kennadi was a 2-time District 3-5A High Jump Champ, the 2023 Field Events MVP for Amarillo HS, Texas HS Coaches Association Academic All-State First Team member in 2024, and she ran on the 4x400 relay that placed 4th in 5A at the state meet in 2023. She was also named the T&F Academic MVP in 2024. Her HS PR in the high jump is 5-6.
Personal
Kennadi graduated from Amarillo HS in 2024. While at AHS, she received the Varsity Academic ACE award, the Senior Academic Achievement Award, and was the FCA MVP for Amarillo HS. Her parents are Kenna and Bobby Payne and she has two sisters, Kensleigh and Landry. At ACU, Kennadi is a Biochemistry major and she appeared on the Dean’s List in the Fall of 2024.
Why did you choose ACU? I wanted to compete at a high level while simultaneously participating in an academic program that will challenge me and prepare me well for my future career. ACU also provided me with a community that allowed me to grow in my faith while doing these things.
What is your favorite thing about ACU? The community and culture at ACU. Everyone here is so encouraging, loving, and willing to help. I have felt at home since I first set foot on the campus.
