Before ACU
Neriah was a dominant figure in TAPPS 4A for the past 4 years competing for Pantego Christian Academy. In her senior year, she won the 100, 200, and the triple jump and was 4 th in the LJ (she won the TAPPS 4A 100 three years in a row). Also. during her senior year, she was the runner-up in the Major Impact Invitational TJ, held at the Greenhill School in Dallas. Last summer, after her senior year was completed, she won the AAU T&F Region 18 Championship TJ with a personal best triple jump of 39- 4/11.99m, which was the 9 th best jump in the U.S. for summer club competitors. Early in her senior year, she also finished 3 rd in the Carl Lewis HS Indoor TJ, hosted by the University of Houston, with a jump of 39-1/11.82m, which placed her #12 in Texas and #45 in the U.S. for HS indoor jumpers. During her HS junior, she won the 100 and 200 and was 3 rd in the TJ and 6 th in the LJ at the TAPPS 4A meet. As a sophomore, she won the 100, was 2 nd in the 200, 3 rd in the LJ, and 5 th in the TJ. She started off her HS championship competition as a freshman finishing 2 nd in the 100, 3 rd in the TJ, and 7 th in the LJ. During high school, she was TAPPS 4A Athlete of the state meet for three years, as well as being the Track and field MVP for Pantego as a junior and senior. She leaves Pantego with personal bests of 12.03 in the 100; 25.23 in the 200; 17-5/5.31m in the LJ; and 39-4/11.99 in the TJ this past summer.
Personal
Neriah graduated from Pantego Christian Academy in 2025, with honors including Honor Roll, AP Scholar Award, and the College Board National African-American Recognition. Her parents are Mitch and Monique Williams and she has a sister, Brielle. Her Mother, Monique Harris Williams, was a decorated jumper at the University of New Mexico, including winning the Mountain West Conference TJ at 5 different indoor/outdoor championships. Neriah’s aunt, Keisha Harris, played basketball at Cerritos College in California. She has also been active as a volunteer in her community – volunteering at Mission Arlington, Operation Christmas Child, and at her home church, Spirit Life Church International: A Place to Grow. She is majoring in Business Management at ACU, where she is also a Heacock Scholar.
Why did you choose ACU? I chose ACU for its Christ-centered environment, community, and track team.
What is your favorite thing about ACU? My favorite thing about ACU is the community.
