Biography
Before ACU
He began to emerge as one of the top sprinters in the greater Houston area as a junior. Running for Cypress Lakes HS in the Katy ISD, he won the District 16- 6A 200 with an outstanding time of 21.37. Early in his final season of high school, Abraham showed more of his talent as he finished 4 th in the Carl Lewis HS Invitational in the 60, then finished 6 th at the TAMU HS Championship meet in the 60, with a time of 6.80 – the #13 best time in Texas and #42 in the U.S. among high schoolers. He also finished 5 th in the TTU Wes Kittley Indoor HS Invitational in a time of 21.43, also ranking him #13 in Texas in that sprint distance. Moving outdoors, he won the 100 at three different meets against 6A competition, before the District 16-5A meet, where he won the 200 and finished 2 nd in the 100. Moving on to the Region II-6A meet, he participated in one of the fastest 100 meter races in high school history. In the prelim heat of the 100, he finished 4 th in his heat with a time of 10.15. Although the wind speed on the race was too high to count for records, he was still the #7 fastest time in Texas and the #19 best time in the U.S. in all wind-conditions. After the season, Abraham won the Texas Storm Annual Track Meet in the 200, with a time of 21.05, which also placed him #61 in the U.S. among all high school age athletes.
