ABILENE – Abilene Christian heads to the WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Orem, Utah, Thursday through Saturday.

The Wildcats finished fifth in the men's standings and sixth in the women's at last year's championships.
ACU comes into the meet projected to score well in several events.
Cooper Goggans has the best time this season in the men's 800 meters at 1:48.20.
Athan Huelskamp is ranked first in the shot put at 17.59 meters and the discus at 53.63 meters.
Colt Cooper is second in the discus at 52.82 meters.
Sutton Welch is the fourth seed in the hammer at 56.47 meters with Rylan Smart at fifth at 56.47.
Christian Morales is seeded fifth in the javelin at 62.15 meters.
Garrison Shindler is sixth in the WAC in the 1500 meters at 3:49.16.
Kevin Castruita is ranked seventh in the men's 10,000 at 30:12.96.
Miguel Hall is seventh in the men's 110 hurdles at 14.36.
Canaan Fairley is the seventh seed and Ethan Christian is the eighth seed in the decathlon.
Ja'Dasia Sims is the top seed in the women's high jump at 1.75 meters and Eliza Lemberga is seventh at 1.65.
Defending champion Ella Anttila is second in the triple jump this season at 12.77 meters and Luize Velmere is the sixth seed at 12.21.
The women's 400 meters could be a strong point for ACU with Shiean Walters seeded second (54.11), Sims fifth (55.02) and Savannah McCaleb seventh (55.55).
Kaitlyn Callaway is seeded second in the javelin at 49.17 meters with Avery Myrick at seventh at 42.71. Myrick also is seventh in the discus at 44.14.
Lemberga is the third seed in the heptathlon and Natalie Poe is fourth.
Riley Pyeatt is the sixth seed in the 800 at 2:11.52.
Katelyn Coldicott is ranked sixth in the 10K at 38:04.67.
Courtney Latham enters as the No. 8 seed in the 400 hurdles at 1:02.71.
