2023-2024: Indoors - competed in 3 meets, including a 4 th place finish in the LJ at the JD Martin
Invitational in Norman, OK, but did not compete in the conference meet. Outdoors – 6 meets outdoors.
Started the season by placing 6 th in the Wes Kittley Invitational at Elmer Gray Stadium in a season best
jump of 22-1.75. Rhett finished the season placing 16 th in the WAC Championship long jump – his first
appearance in a WAC championship meet in his ACU career.

2022-2023: Indoors – competed in 1 meet indoors. Outdoors – did not compete outdoors.

2021-2022: Indoors – did not compete indoors. Outdoors – competed in 6 meets outdoors, including
placing 8 th in the Carl Kight Inv long jump and 7 th in the War Hawk Classic LJ with a collegiate PR of 22-
6.25.

Before ACU: As a senior at Lago Vista, Rhett placed 9 th at the 3A state meet in the 200. At the Region IV-
3A meet, he also placed 5 th in the LJ. High school PR’s include 22.35 in the 200 and 20-7 in the LJ.
Personal: Rhett is a 2021 graduate of Lago Vista HS. His parents are Barry and Tammy Kahlden.
Scheduled to graduate with his Bachelor of Engineering in May, 2025.
