Biography

2024-2025
Indoors – competed in 4 meets. In regular season meets, she finished 6 th in the TTU Red Raider Invitational HJ and 7 th in the TTU Stan Scott Invitational long jump. She peaked well at the WAC Championship as she finished 5 th in the pentathlon with a new personal best total of 3,536 points. She also had personal bests during the pentathlon in both the 60 hurdles (9.23) and high jump (5-6/1.68m).
Outdoors – competed in 8 meets, including 2 heptathlons during the indoor season. In the first meet of the season, the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational, she placed 7 th in the javelin with a personal best of 108-5/39.06 and 11 th in the 110 hurdles in a personal best of 14.88. She later finished 6 th in the Bobcat Invitational heptathlon and at the last event of the hep, she ran a personal best in the 800 with a time of 2:21.76. Other meet highlights included: 2 nd in the HJ at the TTU Masked Rider; 2 nd in the HJ and 3 rd in the LJ at the War Hawk Invitational; 7 th in the Joe Gillespie Invitational LJ; and 6 th in the TCU Horned Frog Invitational HJ. At the WAC Championships held at UTA, Natalie finished off a great season in style, as she finished 3 rd in the heptathlon with a new personal record total of 4,997 points. During the hep, she had personal bests in the shot put (35- 6.5/10.83m), LJ (18-1/5.51m) and the 200 (25.60). After the season was complete, Natalie was named to the CSC Academic All District Team.

2023-2024
Indoors – Natalie competed in 5 meets in her 2nd year at ACU. In her first pentathlon of the season she placed 9 th at the Roberrt Platt Invitational held at the University of Houston. She also placed 7th in the Charlie Thomas Invitational LJ in College Station. She had a strong finish to her indoor season when she finished 6th in the WAC Championship pentathlon with a point total that was an improvement of over 200 points from her previous best.
Outdoors – she competed in 6 outdoor meets, opening the season by placing 3rd in ACU’s Wes Kittley Invitational HJ. A few weeks later, at the David Noble Invitational in San Angelo, she placed 7th in the heptathlon. To finish out a breakthrough season for Natalie, she finished 4th in the WAC Championship meet heptathlon with a total of 4,538 points.

2022-2023
Indoors – competed in 5 indoor meets. Natalie competed in her first combined event at the Washburn Open, placing 11th in the pentathlon. She would go on to finish 16th in the WAC indoor championship pentathlon with a score of 3,022. 
Outdoors – she competed in 6 outdoor meets. Competing in her first ever outdoor heptathlon, she placed 9th at the David Noble Relays in San Angelo with a score of 4,263. At the War Hawk Classic, she won the HJ and got 5th in the 100H. At the WAC outdoor championship, she finished 11th  in the heptathlon with a score of 4,200 points.

Before ACU 
Competed in basketball (3 letters), volleyball (4 letters), and T&F (4 letters) at Lubbock Kingdom Prep. As a HS senior at the TAPPS 2A state meet, Natalie was the runner-up in the high jump, 3rd in the 100 hurdles and ran on the 2nd place 4x200 relay and the 6th place 4x400 relay. In 2021, as a HS junior, she won the TAPPS 2A 200, was runner-up in the 400, placed 3rd in both the 100 and the high jump; and finished 6th in the long jump. HS bests include: 100 - 12.74; 200 - 26.69; 400 - 1:01.34; 100 hurdles - 17.25; high jump - 5-2; long jump – 16-8.5; and shot put – 29-5.

Personal 
Natalie was a 2022 graduate of Lubbock Kingdom Prep Academy. At ACU, she is a Communications major and she has also appeared on the Dean’s List for all of her 6 semesters at the University. She is currently serving as a Communication Department Ambassador and formerly interned for the ACU Events office. She will graduate in May and plans on pursuing a career at an event coordinator, with an emphasis on wedding planning. She is also a Presidential Scholar at ACU. Her parents are Greg and Cheri Poe. Natalie’s mother, Cheri, played collegiate basketball at Southern Nazarene University.

Why did you chose ACU? I was drawn to ACU because I knew it could be a place of tremendous growth for me athletically and spiritually, as well as prepare me well for life after college.

What is your favorite thing about ACU? The individual care that I have received from my professors and coaches. I feel genuinely known and cared for here and it has radically affected my college experience for the better!
