Biography


2022-2023: Indoors -  competed in 5 indoor meets for the Wildcats. A early season highlight was placing 15th in the TTU Matador Qualifier 60H with a new PR time of 8.39. Finished the indoor season by placing 7th at the WAC Championship in the heptathlon with 4,940 points – just short of his all-time best. During that competition he had a PR in the 60 (7.02). Outdoors – competed in 6 meets during the outdoor season. All season long, he did well in the javelin, getting 3rd at the Wes Kittley Invitational and winning the title in both the War Hawk Classic and Oliver Jackson Twilight. Finished his season with his only decathlon of the year – placing 5th at the WAC championship in the decathlon with a new PR total of 6,816 points. During the conference championship, he had a PR in the 100 (11.02) and was very close to PR’s in several other of the 10 events in the decathlon.

2021-2022: Indoors – competed in 4 meets indoors. At the WAC championship, Ethan placed 5th in the heptathlon with a new PR total of 4,978, picking a PR in the high jump of 5-10.75 along the way. Outdoors – after competing in 5 other meets outdoors, he placed 4th in the WAC decathlon, also ran on the 9th place 4x400 relay. His decathlon at the WAC championships included a big PR in the Javelin (187-3.5/57.07m).

2020-2021: Indoors – competed in just 2 meets during an injury-riddled season, he still ran a PR of 49.55 in getting 3rd in the Corky Classic 400, then ran on the 9th place 4x400 relay and placed 11th in the LJ at the SLC indoor meet. . Outdoors – 6th in the WAC decathlon, with a new PR total of 6,622 points. Also, won the Wes Kittley Invitational decathlon in his first ever decathlon
to open the season and getting 2nd in the Baylor Invitational LJ.

2019-2020: Indoors – In the WAC meet, Ethan got 10th in the heptathlon and 17th in the long jump, along with getting 12th in the Texas Tech Open heptathlon in his first collegiate multi. Outdoors – season cancelled due to pandemic – redshirt for all T&F athletes.

Before ACU: In 2019, Ethan was 8th in the 6A state meet in the 300 hurdles and just missed going to state in the long jump (3rd at the Region I-6A meet), along with 9th place in the 110 hurdles.
