Seniors Make Final Home Appearance Thursday

ABILENE – Fifty-eight Abilene Christian track and field athletes bring their talents to Elmer Gray Stadium for the last home meet of the season on Thursday – the Oliver Jackson Twilight.
Among the schedule of events is a 3 p.m. Senior Recognition.
Seniors Jamal January, Maxwel Kiplagat and Jared Williams run their final races. January and Williams run the men's 200 meters with January also entered in the 110 hurdles. Kiplagat represents ACU in the 3000 steeplechase.
The seniors on the women's team are Kaitlyn Callaway, Jessica Campbell, Payton Kirk and Prudence Kiyeng. Callaway is in the hammer and javelin and Campbell is in the 100 hurdles, shot put and javelin. Kirk is in the pole vault, long jump and 4x100 relay and Kiyeng runs the 1500 meters.
The field events begin at 10:30 a.m. with the javelin throw with the men's triple jump slated to launch at 5:30 p.m.
The action gets started on the track at 3:20 p.m. with the 4x100 relay. The 5000 meters is slated as the final event of the night, scheduled for 7:25 p.m.
Additionally, ACU sends a crew of discus throwers to Texas Tech on Friday for the Corky/Crofoot Shootout. Zoe Burleson, Athan Huelskamp and Nathanial Collier are confirmed for that meet. Those athletes compete at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
