Biography
2022-2023: Indoors – competed in 4 meets indoors for the Wildcats, with an early highlight of placing 7th at the TTU Jarvis Scott Open 60H – setting a new PR of 8.72 in the prelims. Finished 18th in the WAC indoor championship 60H. Outdoors – ran in 6 meets for ACU and got the season started well by winning the Wes Kittley Invitational 100H. Also won the War Hawk Classic 100H and finished 5th in the Oliver Jackson 100H in a new PR time of 14.13. At the WAC outdoor championship in Nacogdoches, she finished 16th in the 100H.
2021-2022: Indoors – redshirted. Outdoors – just missed the finals in the 100 hurdles at the WAC championship placing 10th in the prelims and 24th in the long jump. Also placed 4th in the Oliver Jackson Twilight 100 hurdles with a PR of 14.07 and placed 3rd in the 100H and 5th in the Wes Kittley Invitational LJ with a PR jump of 18-4.5/5.60m.
Before ACU: At the 6A state meet in 2021, Paige placed 6th in the long jump with a jump of 18-6. At the Region III-6A meet, she placed 4th in the 100 hurdles, with a time of 13.86 (which placed her #21 in the US for HS athletes) and 6th in the triple jump. Earlier in the year, she triple-jumped 38-6.75 in winning the District 19-6A meet – ranked #114 among all US high school students.
Personal: Paige was a 2021 graduate of Katy Seven Lakes HS, where she was a member of the A/B Honor Roll, in the National Honors Society, won both Legacy & Leadership Awards, and won the American Sign Language Excellence Award. At ACU, she has been on the Dean’s List in every semester since enrolling and has been inducted into the Delta Tau Alpha Honors Society, the Phil Eta Sigma Honors Society and the Alpha Chi Honors Society. Her major at ACU is Agribusiness. Her parents are Jean Marc and Joni Boucher. Her uncle is Clint Johnson, a 1992 ACU graduate and a former ACU All-Conference golfer who was also a 1990 Academic All-America. Paige’s cousin, Brooke Johnson, played volleyball for Texas State University. Her great uncle is Paul “Ginger” Johnson, one of the most storied runners in history for Abilene Christian T&F and an 8th place finisher in the 1956 U.S. Olympic Trials 1500. Paide also has 2 sets of grandparents who are ACU alumni – Muriel and Allen Harp & Marilyn and Taylor Johnson – and her mother, Joni Boucher, is also an ACU alum. Paige has also been an active volunteer with FCA and with the New Hope Church Youth Group worship.
