Biography


2023-2024: Cross Country ran in all 6 meets of the year. Started the season running in the top-4 for ACU in the 2 opening, but finished the season running as the #7 ACU finisher in the final 4 meets of the season, including getting 12th at the ACU Naimadu Classic with a 6K PR of 23:30; finished 77th at the WAC Championship; and 165th at the South Central Region.

2022-2023: Cross Country – had an immediate impact as she competed in all 6 XC meets in the 2022 season for ACU – finishing in the top-7 Wildcat finishers in each race. Ended the season with a 94th place in the WAC Conference meet and 138th place in the South Central Region Championship. Indoors – ran 1 meet indoors, getting 11th in the Pittsburg State Inv 5K. Outdoors – competed in 5 meets outdoors, highlighted by a 7th place finish in the War Hawk Classic 1500 and an 11th place finish in the Oliver Jackson Inv 800. She did not compete at the WAC outdoor championship.

Before ACU: In her HS senior year running on the XC course, Kate finished 4th in the District 26-6A meet. Then, she would finish 6th in the 800 at the District 26-6A meet on the track. In her junior year at Austin HS, she received the Most Improved Athlete at Austin HS.

Personal: Graduated from Austin HS in 2022, also being a member of National Honor Society and receiving the Academic Athlete award. Majoring in Business Management. Her parents are Rick and Heidi Hansen. She also had relatives who competed in college athletes – her uncle, David Livingston, in rugby and aunt, Nissa Hatfield, in soccer – both at Westmont College in California. Kate is also a volunteer in The Well Kids Ministry.
