2023 Track & Field Roster
Biography
2021-2022: Indoors – at the WAC championships, placed 7th in the 400 and ran the leadoff leg on the 5th place 4x400 relay. Outdoors – redshirted – will have one outdoor season left for 2023.
2020-2021: Indoors – placed 20th in the SLC 200 and 400, also running on the 9th place 4x400 relay. All T&F athletes received a redshirt season due to the pandemic. Outdoors – placed 8th in the SLC 400, plus 13th in the 100. Also ran on the 3rd place 4x100 and on the 4x400 relays. In winning the Oliver Jackson Twilight 100, Jared ran a PR of 10.58.
2019-2020: Indoors – placed 14th in the SLC championship 400 and ran the anchor leg on the winning 4x400 relay. Outdoors – season cancelled due to the pandemic – redshirt for all T&F athletes.
2018-2019: Indoors – at the SLC championships, placed 3rd in the 400 and ran the 3rd leg on the winning 4x400. Outdoors – at the SLC championship, Jared won the 400 (with a PR time of 46.70), ran 3rd on the winning 4x400 relay and ran on the 6th place 4x400 relay. Ran in the NCAA West Preliminary meet – placing 24th in a field of 48. Also in placing 4th in the Oliver Jackson Twilight 200, he ran a PR time of 21.13.
2017-2018: Indoors – placed 4th in the 400 and ran 2nd on the 2nd place 4x400 in his first collegiate conference championship. Outdoors – 6th place in the SLC championship 400 and ran the opening leg on the winning 4x400 relay with an outstanding time of 3:07.75. Also won the Oliver Jackson Twilight 400 with a then-PR time of 46.78. Qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary, placing 35th in the 400.
Before ACU: Competing for Channelview HS, Jared just missed going to the Texas state meet as he placed 4th in the Region III-6A 400. Also placed 5th in the TTFCA Meet of Champions 400. He finished his HS career at the school record holder for both the 200 and 400 at Channelview HS.
Personal: Jared received his BS in Agriculture and Environmental Sciences this past spring of 2022. He was a 2017 graduate of Channelview HS. His parents are Kenton and Valencia Williams.
