HUNTSVILLE, Texas – The ACU women's tennis team opened Western Athletic Conference play on Saturday but fell 4-3 at the hands of SFA.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Jacks took the doubles point with wins in each of the top two flights before taking a 2-0 lead with a win on Court 3 in singles action.
- Andrea Guerrero got the Wildcats on the board with a 6-3, 6-1 victory in the fourth flight.
- SFA made it a 3-1 lead following a fifth-flight win, and Maryjoe Crisologo brought the Purple and White closer with a 7-5, 6-3 victory in the top flight.
- The Jacks found the clinching point on Court 6, but Allison Stewart picked a three-set victory on Court 2 to close out the day.

- The Wildcats wrap up the weekend on Sunday morning, with first against UTRGV serve slated for 8:00 a.m.
