Four Abilene Christian women's tennis players were named to the All-Western Athletic Conference teams, the league office announced on Thursday. The awards were voted upon by the conference's head coaches following the WAC tournament in which the Wildcats finished runner-up.
Senior Masha Vrsalovic earned a spot on the All-WAC First Team with fellow seniors Maria Cascos and Alice Klinteby joined by freshman Victoria Correa on the All-WAC Second Team.
Vrsalovic, who played the entire season at the top singles line, finished 9-10 including a 9-8 record against non-Power 4 teams. The Bolivian had victories over UTSA, Texas State, New Mexico and UT Arlington (twice). This spring she earned four separate weekly conference awards: twice for singles player, and twice as part of a doubles team. Vrsalovic was also named on the WAC All-Tournament Team.
Cascos went 7-8 at No. 2 singles with wins over UTSA, New Mexico, New Mexico State and Louisiana Tech. She paired up with Vrsalovic to win two WAC Doubles Players of the Week awards, and the two earned a 7-4 record together, all at the No. 1 doubles line.
Klinteby finished with a 9-7 singles record, including 9-5 at the No. 4 line, and was twice named the WAC Singles Player of the Week. The Swede had a 6-match winning streak during the season with victories over UNT, Sam Houston, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Missouri State and UTA.
Correa made a splash in her first collegiate season with an 8-8 singles record, including 2-1 at the No. 4 line. She was nominated for the WAC Freshman of the Year award, and defeated opponents from New Mexico, New Mexcio State, Missouri State, and Texas State in 2026. Correa also sported a 6-11 doubles record.
After advancing to the semifinals of a Division I conference tournament for the sixth time, the Wildcats pushed through to the WAC championship match with a 4-0 sweep of Utah Tech. ACU then fell to Tarleton State on Sunday, April 19.
