STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The ACU women's tennis team faced off against WAC foe Sam Houston on Sunday, falling 5-2 in a match that lasted more than six hours.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Andrea Guerrero and Maryjoe Crisologo teamed up for a 6-1 win in the third doubles flight, but the Bearkats answered with a win on Court 2.
- Allison Stewart and Sylvia Viljoen continue to play well together in doubles, as the duo picked up a win in the top flight to clinch the first point of the day.
- Sam Houston came away with a victory in the fifth singles flight to even the score, but ACU retook the lead when Viljoen wrapped up the third flight with a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
- ACU would get no closer on Sunday, however, as the Bearkats responded with four straight points to take the match.
UP NEXT:
- The Wildcats close out the regular season on April 16 with a home match against Tarleton in the final tune-up ahead of the Western Athletic Conference Championships.
