Wildcats Log Solid Marks in Weekend Meets

NORMAN, Okla. – Abilene Christian posted several wins and big marks at the Sooner Invite and at the McMurry War Hawk Classic in Abilene.
In Abilene, Kailey Roskop won the hammer throw with a toss of 51.17 meters and the discus at 42.22 meters.
The Wildcats went 1-2-3-4 in the 400 meters, led by Ja'Dasia Sims at 56.26. Savannah Walker ran it in 56.61, followed by Ja'Kaylon Sabbath at 59.05 and Gracyn Reed at 1:00.17.
Peyton Bornstein won the 3000-meter steeplechase in 11:34.28
Paige Boucher won the 100 hurdles in 14.20, followed by Natalie Poe in fifth at 16.32 and Skylar Harris in seventh at 17.44.
D'anna Smith captured the 100 meters in 12.03 seconds.
Bella Evans was third in the 800 meters at 2:21.67 while Breonna McCarthy-Reese came in fifth at 2:27.17.
Natalie Poe won the high jump at 1.55 meters.
Grace White won the 1500 meters in 4:46.91 with Katelyn Coldicott in fifth at 5:10.26 and Kate Hansen in seventh at 5:11.96.
On the men's side, Jack Marshall won the 200 meters in 20.86, followed by Zach Young in fourth at 21.54, Addison Franklin in sixth at 21.83 and Matthew Mills in 11th at 22.04. Marshall's time is 25th in the West.
Jared Williams won the 400 meters in 47.36, followed by Matthew Mills in third at 48.62 and Tyce Chaney at 49.53. Williams' time is 51st in the West.
Ethan Christian was third in the long jump at 6.92 meters, followed by Caleb Lawrence in fourth at 6.88. Christian also had a discus throw of 33.52 meters and cleared 3.82 meters in the pole vault.
Jeremy King placed third in the 110 hurdles at 14.50.
William Harris was fourth in the 100 meters at 10.62, followed by Zach Young in fifth at 10.63. Joseph Baluti came in at 11.19 and Ethan Christian at 11.20.
Neal Helgerson was fourth in the 800 meters at 1:57.56, followed by Noah Jones at 2:01.71 and Gabriel Trevino at 2:01.88.
Kevin Castruita was fifth in the 1500 meters at 4:13.16.
Christian won the men's javelin at 53.89 meters on Friday. Kaitlyn Callaway placed second in the women's javelin at 40.53 meters, followed by Jessica Campbell in fourth at 39.09, Skylar Harris at 34.17 and Natalie Poe at 31.54.
In Oklahoma, Payton Kirk had a huge performance on Friday, clearing 6.25 meters in the long jump. That mark has her ranked 23rd in the NCAA and 11th in the West. She cleared 3.65 meters in the pole vault on Saturday. Mackenzie Blain vaulted 3.35 meters.
Zoe Burleson was second in the discus at 50.26 meters for her second top-50 NCAA West mark of the meet.
On Friday in Oklahoma, Burleson threw the shot 15.38 meters for a top-50 mark in the NCAA West.
Jacob Thomas cleared 4.60 meters in the pole vault and Athan Huelskamp had a shot put of 16.47 meters.
