Senior
Masha Vrsalovic finished her last home fall tournament strong with a win in singles play at the ACU Invite on Sunday.
Vrsalovic lost her first match on Friday, but followed with a straight-set victory over Anamaria Kurtsikashvili from Sam Houston on Saturday and then rallied to take down Louisiana Tech's Diana Starodubtseva. Vrsalovic lost the first set, 6-3, but tied the match with a 6-2 win in second two. She then claimed the tiebreaker, 10-8.
Freshman
Elsa Luthar had a terrific weekend by advancing to the championship match of her flight. She fell to Ximena Morales Araneda from Tarleton State, 6-0, 6-1 on Sunday.
The Wildcats have little time to get ready for the ITA Texas Women's Regional Championship Oct. 9-14 in Ft. Worth. The WAC Fall Invitational quickly follows Oct. 16-18 in St. George, Utah, with Utah Tech hosting.
