ARLINGTON, Texas - Twenty-nine Abilene Christian student-athletes were recognized for their success in the classroom with 2025-26 Academic All-WAC honors for winter sports, the Western Athletic Conference released Tuesday. Wildcats representing men's and women's basketball and men's and women's indoor track and field were highlighted.
Eligible student-athletes must have completed one full academic year at their institution, hold at least a cumulative 3.2 grade point average and have competed in at least 50% of their team's contests this past season.
ACU men's basketball's four honorees led the conference and matched the most the program has landed on the Academic All-WAC list. The Wildcats' nine men's indoor track and field student-athletes were the second-most in the WAC.
Three honorees from both men's and women's basketball were named Academic All-WAC for the second year in a row, while juniors Ma'Shy Hill and Emma Troxell were recognized for the third time in as many years.
Five student-athletes from both men's and women's indoor track and field were repeat honorees, with Canaan Fairley, Miguel Hall, Rylan Smart and Hana Banks distinguished for the third year in a row. Natalie Poe achieved the rare accomplishment of earning her fourth Academic All-WAC nod.
Baseball, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf and men's and women's outdoor track and field student-athletes, as well as freshmen and transfers for all sports, will be recognized with Academic All-WAC honors later in the spring.
