Wildcats Pull Off Comeback Against Roadrunners

ABILENE - The ACU women's tennis team opened the 2026 home season with a 4-3 win over UT San Antonio, giving the Wildcats two straight victories over a span of 11 days.

After dropping the doubles point, the Wildcats battled back in the singles portion of the afternoon, leaving it all up to the final match.

Elsa Luthar won the first set in her match, but after losing the second, she had to battle her way back to a victory. With her teammates cheering her on from the sideline, Luthar went on to win the critical third set, 6-3.

Other victories for the Cats came courtesy of Masha Vrsalovic and Alice Klinteby in straight sets, while Maria Cascos won in the third set.

The team lost to the Roadrunners 6-1 in the 2025 season, letting Friday's win show major improvement in the roster's abilities.
