Jones is a fourth-generation Wildcat who has football history in his DNA. Hs grandfather Dewitt Jones and great-grandfather Garvin Beauchamp were both champion ACU head football coaches, and his dad Jay Jones was an All-America linebacker and is in the ACU Sports Hall of Fame.
