Luke Roaten Earns Spot on Preseason All-America Team

Abilene Christian redshirt senior offensive lineman Luke Roaten has been named to the 2026 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America 2nd Team, the media outlet announced Monday.
After his first season as a Wildcat, Roaten was an All-United Athletic Conference 1st team selection in 2025. He started all 14 games at right tackle, next to his twin brother Landon Roaten who played right guard.
Luke Roaten earned an overall grade of 84% with 65 knockdown / second-level blocks last year. He blocked for an offense which averaged 408 yards and 30 points per game.

The Roaten twins are two of four starting offensive linemen returning in 2026. Center Colter Lynch started all 14 games last season while Kaden Carr started nine games at left guard. ACU's experience on the line will be a strength this fall, and in stark contrast to last offseason when the Wildcats had to replace players at all five positions.
ACU continues summer workouts until the official beginning of fall practice on Wednesday, July 29. The season-opener is Saturday, Aug. 29 in Beaumont against Lamar. The following week, the Wildcats travel to Lubbock to face Texas Tech on Fox Sports 1, marking their first national television appearance since 2014. ACU plays its first home game on Saturday, Sept. 12 against Stephen F. Austin.
