
ACU's Blayne Taylor Signs with CFL's Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Former Abilene Christian wide receiver Blayne Taylor has signed a contract with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League, the team announced on Wednesday.
Taylor played for the Wildcats from 2022-24, finishing with 133 catches for 2,026 yards and 17 touchdowns. As a senior, he was an All-United Athletic Conference 2nd Team selection and cracked the top 10 of ACU's single-season record books with 73 receptions (3rd most) and 1,117 yards (6th most).
Taylor originally signed with Hamilton in December 2025, and went through preseason training camp.
In May 2025, the Saginaw, Texas native took part in rookie minicamp with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts.
Taylor joins Sam Hicks - his former ACU teammate - in the CFL. Hicks is the starting running back for the Toronto Argonauts. Hamilton and Toronto are scheduled to face off on Saturday, July 18.
