Evan Nemec has served as ACU's assistant athletic director for media relations since July 2024.
He oversees communications for ACU Athletics and all 15 Wildcat athletics programs, and manages content on ACUSports.com.
Nemec is the primary contact for football, men's basketball, and softball.
Nemec joined ACU after an eight-year career in local television news at KTXS, Abilene's ABC affiliate. He started as a sports reporter in 2016, was promoted to sports director in 2018, and then transitioned to producer and news anchor of KTXS This Morning for his final year at the station.
Nemec graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in converged broadcast media in 2016.
His wife, Addison, is an Abilene native. The couple have a daughter, Eden, and a son, Eli.
