Wildcats End Fall Season with Wins

ABILENE – Abilene Christian finished off the Wildcat Invite on Sunday with three more singles wins and a pair of doubles victories for a third consecutive day of winning tennis.

Libby Blair picked up singles and doubles wins to lead the team on the final day. Blair, Maria Cascos and Olivia Sears picked up singles wins against Tarleton State.

Blair and Maryjoe Crisologo won their doubles contest against Texas State, as did Andrea Guerrero and Masha Vrsalovic.

"All weekend I think we had a good battle and we fought really hard all the way through," said ACU Head Coach Bryan Rainwater. "We definitely played some good teams and we gave ourselves a lot of really big opportunities and capitalized on them. We ended up winning every duel match if we actually played a duel match so that's just really solid effort and it wasn't like we were just blowing them away; they were tough matches. Just really resilient team and I feel like we did exactly what we've been working on in practice, so it's a good way to end the fall and get ready for the off-season."

The tournament wraps up the fall season for ACU.
