Mocciola wins at Baylor to complete undefeated week of singles action

WACO, Texas – The ACU women's tennis team was hit with a 6-1 loss on Sunday afternoon in a road match against 20th-ranked Baylor. Ileana Mocciola highlighted the day for the Purple and White, picking up a win in the sixth flight to finish with a 3-0 record in singles action for the week.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- ACU's Allison Stewart and Sylvia Viljoen teamed up to take the second doubles flight by a tally of 6-1, but the Bears were able to take the doubles point.
- Mocciola and opponent Brooke Thompson forced one another to the brink on multiple occasions, with Thompson taking the first set 7-5 only to see Mocciola take the second set by a tally of 6-4. Mocciola took the final set 1-0 behind an 11-9 tiebreaker win and close out the day on a high note.

- The Wildcats return to action on March 19, when they play host to SFA in their first ever Western Athletic Conference meeting.
