Wildcats win third straight with 7-0 victory over Dallas Baptist

ABILENE, Texas – The ACU women's tennis team hosted Dallas Baptist on Saturday, defeating the Patriots 7-0 at Eager Tennis Pavilion. The Purple and White have now played three matches in the last week and have picked up wins in each of them.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The duo of Claire Fisher and Ileana Mocciola picked up a 6-0 win in the top doubles flight, while Sylvia Viljoen and Allison Stewart teamed up for a 6-1 victory on Court 2 to clinch the point for ACU.
- Fisher took the sixth singles flight 6-1, 6-1, while Maryjoe Crisologo made quick work of her opponent with a 6-1, 6-3 win in the top flight.
- Andrea Guerrero clinched the afternoon with a 6-2, 6-3 win in #4 singles, followed by Viljoen's 6-1, 7-5 victory in the third flight.
- Stewart battled to three sets before prevailing with a 7-6, 3-6, 10-8 thriller on Court 2, and Mocciola finished off the sweep with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 victory in #5 singles.
UP NEXT:
- The Purple and White are back at it on Sunday, when they host nationally-ranked Tyler Junior College. First serve of doubles action is slated for 1:00 p.m.
