
ACU Adds 93 to Academic All-WAC Teams

ABILENE – Fifty-eight Abilene Christian student-athletes made the spring sports Academic All-Western Athletic Conference and another 35 were added to the fall and winter lists, the league announced on Tuesday.
Softball with 16 honorees, shared the league lead in that sport with California Baptist and was first among ACU's spring sports.
Shaylee Alani, McKenley Clark, Mercedes Eichelberger, Logan Gaspar, Catrin Hoffman, Sydney Kaiser, Miranda Lista, Isabel Martinez, Talia Nielsen, Mattilyn Reiling, Emma Rote, Elizabeth Schaefer, Lauren Schiek, Sammie Shelander, Oliva Taylor and Riley White were the 16 ACU softball players on the list.
Fifteen baseball players earned the distinction including Samuel Berberich, Drake Boggan, Adam Byrd, Austin Glaze, Max Huffling, Miller Ladusau, Maddox Miesse, Tyler Morgan, Crew Parke, Jacob Skaggs, Zachary Smith, Adam Stephenson, Grayson Tatrow, Tanner Tweedt and Garrett Williams.
From men's tennis, Cesar Barranquero, Savan Chhabra, Mihaly Deli, Dario Kmet, Daniel Morozov, Benjamin McDonald and Ethan Scribner earned the honor.
Women's tennis was represented by Eva Arranz, Maria Cascos, Maryjoe Crisologo, Andrea Guerrero, Olivia Sears and Masha Vrsalovic.
Earning the honor from men's track are Addison Franklin, Neal Helgerson, Jared Williams, John Marshall and Matthew Mills.
Women's track placed Peyton Bornstein, Emily Boucher, Zoe Burleson, Payton Kirk and Savannah Walker on the team.
Thomas Buisson, Brian Comegys, Logan Diomede and Gregoire Hoyeau made the team from men's golf.
The league also listed freshmen and transfers who had not yet been previously eligible when the original lists came out.
Among those are men's basketball players Immanuel Allen, Hunter Madden and JV Seat; women's basketball players Claire Graham, Raychael Harjo, Zoe Jackson, Brooke Jessen, Tristin Keller, Maleeah Langstaff and Aspen Thornton; Keaton Raney from men's indoor track and field; Hannah Foster and Natalie Poe from women's indoor track and field; McCarly Hollomon, Amelia Leggett, Lox Neves, Brennan Reuland and Hannah Vertomile from women's soccer; Noah Caldwell, Rafiti Ghirmai, Darius Moore, Rece Stafford and Tay Yanta from football; Logan Browning, Sara Carrizales, Ashli Edmiston and Madeline Guffey from volleyball; Kevin Castruita, Samuel Lanham and Jacob Russell from men's cross country; and Bornstein, Bella Evans, Kate Hansen, Prudence Kiyeng and Kate Williams from women's cross country.
