Wildcats' win streak halted at four in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The ACU women's tennis team saw a four-match win streak come to a close on Sunday afternoon, falling 5-2 at the hands of the University of New Mexico.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Allison Stewart and Sylvia Viljoen teamed up to win the second doubles flight, but the Lobos took the doubles point and the early lead.
- UNM was clicking early, picking up the first three singles matches to earn the clinch.
- Ileana Mocciola was down 5-4 before storming back in the second set to take the sixth flight 6-3, 7-5.
- Stewart continued her recent hot streak, defeating Sarah O'Connor 6-2, 5-7, 1-0 (10-5) on Court 2.
UP NEXT:
- The Wildcats are off until February 19, when they make the trip to Bryan-College Station to take on Texas A&M.
