HOUSTON – The ACU men's tennis team was tripped up on Sunday afternoon, falling 6-1 at the hands of Rice on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The ACU doubles tandem of Mihaly Deli and Jose Maria Rastrojo picked up a 6-4 win in the second flight, while Benjamin McDonald and Riley Tran followed with a victory by the same score to clinch the doubles point.
- McDonald forced a tiebreaker in the first set on #6 singles before ultimately falling 7-4.
- Daniel Morozov turned in ACU's tightest battle of the day, falling 6-4 in the first set before bouncing back with a 7-5 win to force a third set. Rice' Sumit Sarkar ended up taking the set 1-0 after a 10-8 victory for the final Owl point of the day.

- The Wildcats are back in action on Friday, when they open the H-E-B Invitational on the campus of Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
