DALLAS – Abilene Christian women's tennis (8-8) Sunday had its four-match winning streak broken as the Mustangs (7-9) posted a 7-0 win over the Wildcats at the SMU Tennis Complex.

The Mustangs captured the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and 2 lines before authoring six singles victories, four of which were in straight sets. Junior Sarah Adams and freshman Sylvia Viljoen were the lone Wildcats to push their matches at No. 2 and 6 to a super tiebreaker before bowing out.

Adams fell 6-2, 3-6, 10-3 to SMU's Anzhelika Shapovalova, while Viljoen – playing only her fourth dual match of the spring – fell to Sarai Monarrez Yesaki, 4-6, 6-2, 10-6.

The Wildcats, who are 4-0 vs. the Southland Conference, return to action Friday for an 11 a.m. home match vs. Nicholls.
