SAN MARCOS, Texas - The Abilene Christian men's basketball could not find its rhythm during a cold shooting night, losing 63-49 at Texas State on Tuesday.
The Wildcats (3-2) made 31% of their shots from the field, including 5-of-15 from behind the arc.
A near 7:00 scoreless stretch in the first half set the tone as ACU fell behind by as many as 12 points before pulling within two when
Yaniel Rivera stole the ball and passed up the floor to
Zy Wright for a fast break layup with 2:53 left.
However, the Bobcats (4-2) went on an 8-0 to end the frame and led 32-22 at halftime. Texas State expanded its advantage to 20 points by the midway point of the second half.
