UAC Unveils Conference Schedules For Men’s, Women’s Hoops

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Abilene Christian men's and women's basketball will each play 16 league games in their debut seasons in the United Athletic Conference, which released its 2026-27 basketball schedule Wednesday. Both squads will host eight conference matchups at Moody Coliseum alongside eight road contests.
Teams will face each conference foe twice, both at home and on the road. Each program will receive two idle dates. The UAC will transition to conference games on Wednesdays and Saturdays after the Wildcats typically played Thursday-Saturday schedule in the Western Athletic Conference.
ACU welcomes six new conference opponents along with Tarleton State and UT Arlington in the UAC, a rebranding of the WAC. Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky, North Alabama and West Georgia join from the Atlantic Sun, while Little Rock makes the move from the Ohio Valley.
The conference slate begins Jan. 6, 2027 for both squads. The ACU men host Little Rock at Moody Coliseum, while the women's team is on the road at UT Arlington. The men wrap up the regular season on March 6 at Little Rock, with the women's squad closing out on March 3, also in Little Rock, Ark.
The Wildcat men's final home contest is set for March 3 versus Eastern Kentucky, while the women host Austin Peay in their home finale on Feb. 27.
The Wildcats' schedules feature a pair of men's and women's doubleheaders at Moody Coliseum on Feb. 17 and 20. The men will meet North Alabama and the women will play West Georgia on Wednesday the 17th, while the men host West Georgia and the women take on Eastern Kentucky on Saturday the 20th.
The doubleheaders mark one of two weeks for the ACU men and women with two home matchups each. On Feb. 3 and 6, the men's squad hosts Central Arkansas and Tarleton State. The women's schedule features three straight home contests from Jan. 20-30, including Little Rock, North Alabama and Tarleton State.
Both teams face two weeks with a pair of consecutive road matchups. The men are at North Alabama and West Georgia from Jan. 20-23, then visit Austin Peay and Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 10-13. The Wildcat women head to Austin Peay and Eastern Kentucky on Jan. 13-16 ahead of a trip to West Georgia and North Alabama on Feb. 3-6.
