Cats Open at Baylor and Texas this Weekend

ABILENE – Abilene Christian launches its men's tennis season this weekend with matches at No. 25 Baylor on Saturday and No. 3 Texas on Sunday. Both begin at noon.
The Wildcats are coming off a strong 2023 campaign in which they claimed runner-up status in the Western Athletic Conference. Five of last year's top six singles players return for ACU.
The Wildcats bring back WAC Player of the Year Dario Kmet and All-Conference selections Cesar Barranquero, Mihaly Deli and Ethan Scribner.
Baylor was 17-16 last season and are led this season by No. 32 singles player Tadeas Paroulek.
Texas reached the NCAA semifinals last season and finished at 26-4. The Longhorns boast the top two singles players - Eliot Spizziri and Micah Braswell, along with three others in the top 100. Spizzirri and Cleeve Harper are the NCAA's third-ranked doubles squad.
