DENTON – Abilene Christian had a strong day at the North Texas Classic, including a pair of event wins.

Peyton Bornstein won the women's 5000 meters in 18:04 and
William Harris took the men's long jump, clearing 7.23 meters.

Elsewhere in women's action,
Bella Evans was second in the 1500 at 4:43.66 with
Grace White right behind her at 4:43.72.
Katelyn Coldicott finished at 5:03.95.

Payton Kirk was third in the pole vault at 11 feet, 11.75 inches, and fifth in the 100 hurdles at 15.06 seconds.

Ja'Dasia Sims placed fourth in the high jump at 5-7 and cleared 5.5 meters for eighth in the long jump.

Jada Rocquemore ran the 400 meters in 1:02.71.

For the men, Harris also placed 12th in the 100 meters at 10.79 seconds.

Jeremy King placed second in the 110 hurdles at 14.79.

Cooper Goggans was second in the 800 meters, finishing in 1:52.
JP Trook finished in 2:01.68 and
Keaton Raney in 2:04.88.

Gabe Embree placed seventh in the 1500 meters at 4:01.27, followed by Raney at 4:05.40 and
Luke Hernandez at 4:15.26.

Caleb Lawrence cleared 5.92 meters in the long jump and
Noah Jones finished the 400 meters in 51.64 seconds.

The ACU track and field teams split up for three meets next week at the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif., April 12-15; Azusa Pacific's Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif., April 13-15; and at the McMurry War Hawks Classic April 14-15.
