ABILENE – United Soccer Coaches announced Tuesday that Abilene Christian's Chayse Thorn is a third-team All-Pacific Region honoree.
Â
Thorn, a junior forward from Rowlett, finished the season with 14 goals and two assists. She had five multi-goal games, including a hat trick against Texas-Permian Basin. Thorn led the team with five game-winning goals. She ranks sixth in the NCAA in total goals and seventh in both game-winning goals and shot accuracy at 66.7 percent. She was named first-team All-Western Athletic Conference earlier this fall.
Â
"A fantastic recognition for Chayse and the trajectory of this program," said ACU Head Coach Stephen Salas "To receive All-Conference is one thing, but to receive All-Region is excellent. A well-earned individual award for being intentional throughout the season of our much-improved team play. Chayse not only was sixth in the nation in goals scored after the regular season, but she also made herself into a threat across the WAC. I'm excited to watch Chayse work even harder to reach her potential. This honor continues to build a strong foundation for this program!"
