
Wildcats welcome Grambling for Senior Day

ABILENE – The ACU soccer team continues its stretch of non-conference Sunday games with its third home match of the season when it welcomes in the Grambling Tigers of SWAC. The Wildcats (1-4) will look to end a three-match losing streak when they battle the Tigers, who they will play for the first time ever. The game kicks off at 1 p.m. at Elmer Gray Stadium and can be seen on the WAC Digital Network. ACU will also honor its 10 seniors prior to the game.

ACU STORYLINES
- LAST TIME OUT: The Wildcats fell 2-0 to North Texas last Sunday at Elmer Gray Stadium. UNT scored twice in the second half to win the game.
- DEFENDING HOME FIELD: The 'Cats are 17-5-4 at Elmer Gray Stadium since the start of the 2018 season. ACU went undefeated at home in 2019 (6-0-2).
- SENIORS: ACU is honoring its 10 seniors prior to the game: Christina Arteaga, Megan Paul, Alyssia Anuat, Ellen Joss, Emily Heidman, Brianna Diaz, Laura Mauldin, Natalie Wodka, Maddy Cardinal, and K'lynne Massey. The group has combined for 48 wins over the years, including 28 in the Southland Conference.
SCOUTING GRAMBLING
- The Tigers (0-5-1) tied Troy last Sunday, 1-1, at home, and had Friday's game against Central Arkansas canceled before coming to Abilene.
- Kailey Pena leads the team with two goals scored, and has a team-high 17 shot attempts.
