MTEN drops one-point decision to undefeated Lipscomb

NASHVILLE - Abilene Christian men's tennis fell 4-3 Friday to a Lipscomb team that improved to 8-0 with its victory. The Bison, which have won their last four decisions by one point, lead their all-time series vs. ACU, 3-1,

Lipscomb started the dual with a sweep of doubles, but had to hold on in singles as the Wildcats captured three of the first five matches led by No. 2 sophomore Dimitrios Azoidis (6-3, 6-3), No. 3 senior Nikolas Moceanu (3-6, 6-3, 6-3) and No. 6 freshman Savan Chhabra (6-3, 6-2). The deciding point came down to the No. 5 position, where Maksim Bogdanovich edged Riley Tran, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4.

ACU's scheduled match Saturday, Feb. 29 at Oklahoma Baptist was canceled and will not be rescheduled.

Next up for the Wildcats is a trip to Waco Saturday, March 7 for a doubleheader vs. Valparaiso and Prairie View A&M.
