LAST TIME OUT
ACU took two of three from Eastern New Mexico to pull even with West Texas A&M making this weekend's series in Canyon a pivotal game as teams make a push for the Lone Star Conference tournament. The Wildcats are still led offensively by Will Calhoun who is second in the league with 61 hits and fifth with a .430 batting average. JR Roland and Bryce Gerhardt have both seen their averages rise as well hitting above .340 as Roland's 24 RBIs are second best. Gerhardt is also second on the team with 17 stolen bases and has played solid in centerfield replacing Aaron Oliver. The Wildcats pitching staff has taken its lumps this year, but solid starting pitching last weekend from Brent Bray and Brady Rodriguez has helped solidify the front end. Senior Zach Sneed and his 4.60 ERA has since moved into the closer's role for the Wildcats as he picked up his third save of the season and a win in two appearances against the Greyhounds.
