Wildcats fall to Rollins, 1-0

SAN ANTONIO – The Wildcats women's soccer team dropped its first match of the season Sunday against 11th-ranked Rollins College. A goal in the 12th minute from Ashley Waplinger was all the Tars needed as they won 1-0 to hand ACU its first loss of the season.
ACU was looking for the program's first 3-0 start after Friday night's game against Southwest Baptist was cancelled due to lighting in the area. The Tors had other ideas, however, and Waplinger's goal gave them all they would need to beat ACU. The goal was the first allowed on the season from senior goalkeeper Crissy Lawson.
Head coach Casey Wilson and his Wildcats return home for a four game home stand starting with future LSC member Incarnate Word on Friday Sept. 11, at 5 p.m.
