2011-12 (Junior): Lone Star Conference All-Academic and First Team Capital One Academic All-District VI … Earned the designations of ITA All-America (singles and doubles) and Lone Star Conference Player of the Year for the second consecutive spring after finishing with a No. 6 national ranking (No. 1 in the region) and overall record of 24-4 (3-0 LSC) … Registered a doubles mark of 27-1, which included 22 wins at the top line and four more at No. 2 … Twice honored as the Lone Star Conference Player of the Week on March 8 and April 4 … Played all his singles matches at the top position and scored six victories over DI opposition, including Colin Hoover of No. 15 Texas A&M, 4-6, 6-3, 12-10 … All four of his losses were to opponents from nationally ranked DI schools: No. 7 Kentucky, No. 36 Rice,, No. 35 Baylor, and No. 8 Pepperdine … Lost in three sets to No. 5 Eric Quigley of seventh-ranked Kentucky, 7-6, 4-6, 4-6 … Came back from a set down to beat No. 31 Andy Blair of Drury, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 … Ended season a six-match winning streak, which was capped by a straight-set NCAA victory over No. 13 Willi Wolfer of third-ranked Lynn University, 6-2, 6-3 … Won a season-best 11 consecutive matches from Feb. 12 to March 21 … Started the year 10-0 doubles, and finished on a 17-match winning streak that included one of ACU’s biggest wins of the year as he and Plum defeated the nationally ranked No. 4 duo of Finn Tearney and Alex Llompart of Pepperdine, 8-5 … Also teamed up with Plum to beat Baylor’s team of Roberto Maytin and Kike Grangeiro, 8-5, No. 3 Vlad Cirla and Wolfer of Lynn, 8-6, and regionally ranked tandems from No. 18 Cameron, No. 20 Drury, No. 34 Midwestern State … Twice defeated the 25th-ranked pair of Mario Jakovljevic and Jose Ortega of NW Missouri State … Lone doubles loss came with freshman Guilherme Gesser at Texas A&M … 2011 USTA/ITA Regional Singles Champion … As the tournament’s No. 1 seed went 5-0 with four straight-set victories before defeating Southwest Baptist’s and No. 3 seed Domingos Carissimo in the finals, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5 … His regional title earned him one of eight spots at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships where he placed third … Began the tournament with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph over BYU-Hawaii’s Yevhan Zakharov before falling to third-seeded Daniele Piludu of Concordia-New York in the semifinals, 6-4, 6-3 … Went on to win the third-place match over No. 4 seed Christian Lee-Daigle of Queens University, 6-4, 6-2 … One of only two NCAA DII student-athletes – along with teammate Nick Plum – invited to the Racquet Club Invitational in Midland, Texas … Won his first two matches of the tournament in straight sets against opposition from New Mexico and Boise State before falling to eventual tournament finalist and No. 3 seed Soren Hess-Olsen in the round of 16, 6-2, 6-1 …With Plum, won their first two doubles matches to reach the tournament’s quarterfinals where they were edged, 9-8, by the Tulsa duo of Grant Ive and Tristan Jackson … Began the fall season by winning the Aggie (New Mexico State) Tennis Invitational, defeating five Division I opponents from Arizona, New Mexico and New Mexico State … Defeated New Mexico’s Sammy Iftikhar in the finals, 7-6, 6-1.
 
2010-11 (Sophomore): ITA All-America in both singles and doubles … The Lone Star Conference’s Player of the Year and all-conference selection … Finished the season ranked No. 15 in the nation in singles with an overall record of 21-5 – all at the No. 1 position … Combined with Jake Hendrie on a 14-2 record and No. 6 national ranking … Ended year on six-match winning streak, which tied a personal season best … Won six straight to begin his collegiate career and again between March 4 and 12 … Defeated several No. 1 singles player from DI schools such as Rice, Lamar, Northern Arizona, Xavier and SMU … Defeated nationally ranked opponent Christophe Noblet of No. 13 Columbus State University, 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 … Took the nation’s No. 2 player Eudaldo Bonet of No. 3 Armstrong Atlantic State to a third set before falling, 6-4, 1-6, 2-6 … Finished the spring with an overall doubles record of 23-4, which included an 8-2 mark at No. 1 with Brian Joiner … Won his first 18 doubles matches before suffering an 8-3 loss to Columbus State’s 12th-ranked duo of Noblet and Gordan Divljak … In 2010 fall season won ITA college division south central regional titles in singles and doubles … As the seventh seed, defeated top-seeded Malcolm Harrison of host Northwest Missouri State, 6-3, 6-3, for singles title … In doubles play with Joiner, defeated Edward Boone and Mick Walter of St. Edward’s, 7-6, 7-6 … Finished fifth in singles at the ITA national tournament.
