A pair of ACU football players were named United Athletic Conference Player of the Week for their respective sides of the ball, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.
Quarterback
Stone Earle was named the UAC Offensive Player of the Week, and linebacker
Rashon Myles, Jr., was named UAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Earle, a sixth-year senior who is playing his second stint at ACU, set a new career-high in passing yards for the third consecutive game. He threw for 339 yards and scored six total touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) in last Saturday's 45-31 win over Austin Peay.
Myles recovered three fumbles -- all in the first half -- to go along with six total tackles. The Wildcat offense scored 14 points off of those three takeaways to build a 24-3 halftime lead.
Earle and Myles are the first ACU winners of a weekly conference award in 2025. Last season, the Wildcats hauled in ten total UAC Player of the Week awards by eight different players.
Myles was also namedÂ
the FCS Stats Perform National Defensive Player of the Week on Monday morning.
ACU rose to No. 12 in the Stats Perform Top 25, and No. 13 in the FCS coaches poll. The Wildcats play nonconference opponent UIW on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 6 p.m. in San Antonio.
