Abilene Christian men's basketball will compete against programs across the country as part of its 2025-26 nonconference schedule, released on Tuesday. Head coach
Brette Tanner and the Wildcats take on a trio of 2025 NCAA Tournament teams with five matchups at Moody Coliseum over the 13-game slate.
ACU will prepare for the campaign with an exhibition at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Oct. 25. Last season, the Wildcats and Islanders met in a charity exhibition game in Abilene.
ACU opens the season at Moody Coliseum on Nov. 3 versus local opponent McMurry before hosting Omaha on Nov. 6. The Wildcats earned a 71-55 win over the Mavericks on the road last season as Omaha went on to capture the Summit League title and advance to the NCAA Tournament with 22 wins.
Following a Nov. 11 meeting with Southwestern Adventist, ACU makes its first road trip of the season to take on former conference foe Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches on Nov. 14. ACU then heads to San Marcos to play Texas State on Nov. 18. The Wildcats bested the Bobcats, 72-60, in Abilene last season.
ACU will stay on the road to compete in the Jacksonville Classic in Jacksonville, Fla. with a pair of games on Nov. 24-25. The Wildcats' opponents in the tournament will be released at a later date. ACU returns to Abilene on Nov. 28 to host Jarvis Christian on Black Friday.

The Wildcats' December slate features a Western flair, beginning with a Dec. 2 matchup at Pepperdine, a fellow Church of Christ university, in Malibu, Calif. ACU takes on New Mexico State on Dec. 6 at Moody Coliseum in its lone home contest of the month. The Wildcats beat the Aggies on the road last year, 78-70.
The Wildcats wrap up their nonconference schedule with three road games in the span of a week. They travel to Tucson, Ariz. on Dec. 16 to meet Arizona, who reached the Sweet 16 of last season's NCAA Tournament. ACU takes on BYU in Provo, Utah on Dec. 19, with the Cougars also winning a pair of games in the Big Dance in 2025.
ACU faces Texas Southern in Houston on Dec. 22 for one final tuneup before Western Athletic Conference action begins on Jan. 1, 2026. The Wildcats beat the Tigers at Moody Coliseum last December, 69-65.
Entering its fifth season under Tanner, ACU looks to build upon a 16-16 showing in 2024-25 with an 8-8 mark in WAC play. The Wildcats recorded their best winning percentage since the 2021-22 campaign.
