Wildcats Close Season With WAC Tournament Loss to Wolverines

OREM, Utah - Abilene Christian soccer dropped a 7-0 decision to Utah Valley in the Western Athletic Conference Tournament at UCCU Stadium on Wednesday night to bring the 2025 campaign to a close.

All-WAC Second Team and All-WAC Freshman Team goalkeeper Bella Medrano collected 10 saves in 85 minutes to give her 109 for the season. She leads the conference in saves with the most by an ACU goalkeeper in the Division I era.

Medrano's 6.06 saves per match and .790 save percentage are also tops in the WAC.

The Wildcats conceded 39 shots to the Wolverines, including 18 on goal, with two shots of their own. Gracie Kelly and Raelin Miller attempted the lone shots for ACU, with Kelly, a defender, playing all 90 minutes alongside Katy Gregson.

Utah Valley struck early and often with three first half goals and four after halftime. The Wolverines first found the back of the net in the 11th minute before strengthening their lead with goals in the 29th and 36th minutes.

Utah Valley continued its attack with a goal in the 49th minute. The Wolverines scored back to back in the 53rd and 55th minutes, then netted their final goal in the 65th minute before the Wildcats held them scoreless for the remainder of the match.

The Wildcats made their first appearance at the WAC Tournament in program history after tripling their win total from the 2024 season.
