BEAUMONT - The ACU men's tennis wrapped up a successful weekend with two flight championships at the Ron Wesbrooks Invitiational, hosted by the Lamar Cardinals.
The Wildcats earned a victory in one singles flight, took second in another, and had an all-ACU finals in a doubles flight.
Luis Jose Nakamine cruised to a Flight 1 Singles win -- defeating Lamar's Maxwell Lindstedt, 6-1, 6-0.
Merse Deli finished runner-up in Flight 2 Singles. In doubles, Nakamine and
Tomas Quesada defeated teammates Deli and
Alejandro Verdasco, 6-4, for the championship.
Nakamine won every match he played over the weekend: 4-0 in singles, and 3-0 in doubles.
