NACOGDOCHES – Abilene Christian held Stephen F. Austin to two runs but managed only one hit in a 2-1 loss on Friday.
Gino D'Alessio drew a bases-loaded walk to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the third inning.
Benjamin Greer broke up the SFA no-hitter in the fourth.
The 1-0 lead held up until the Jacks scored twice in the ninth inning.
Austin Glaze struck out 12 batters over seven scoreless innings and didn't figure in the decision for ACU. Brett Garcia was charged with the loss.
ACU and SFA play game two of the three-game series at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
